Established on April 8th, 1992, to plan, build and operate a IGCC power station with a gross capacity of 335 MWe (ISO conditions).
It is based on integrated coal gasification combined cycle technology, with exemplary environmental characteristics and pioneering features ragarding efficiency and gasification of different types of coal and petroleum coke.
Commercial operation of the power plant began in 1996 with natural gas and in 1998 using coal and pet coke (50/50).
